Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with exposure/control analysis and coverage concepts.
• Basic underwriting knowledge for commercial lines with premiums in the lower tens of thousands.
• Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental support to assigned underwriter on new business submissions and renewals.
• Assist with endorsements within authority and refer out-of-scope items to the Middle Market Underwriter.
• Build agency relationships and deliver prompt service to partner agents.
• Develop understanding of underwriting profitability, renewal quality, and workflow adherence.
• Organize renewal books and gather information through communication with agents and risk partners.
