Job summary

Trupanion is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead teams building, operating, and evolving its customer-facing web and mobile experiences. You will mentor engineers, contribute to architecture, and drive modernization across digital platforms while partnering with Product, UX, Marketing, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Software Engineering Manager or Tech Lead with hands-on technical responsibilities.
• 3+ years' experience in web technologies such as Angular, React, and/or Typescript, and HTML/CSS.
• Experience in C# / .NET, including .NET Framework and .NET Core a strong plus.
• Experience building digital commerce, customer acquisition, enrollment, or self-service experiences.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, OO design, design patterns, REST APIs, SQL, and relational DB design.
• Experience building customer-facing web and mobile apps at scale.
• Experience leading teams responsible for web/mobile app development.
• Experience with responsive, mobile-first development and modern UX practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Strong system design, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and handle difficult conversations; agile background.

• Partner with architects to set long-term technology direction balancing innovation and stability.
