Job summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks an Assistant Softball Coach to support all phases of the program in accordance with NAIA, Conference and University rules. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, evaluating prospective student-athletes, performing public relations, and administrative tasks under the Head Coach's direction.

Positions may be hybrid or remote at the discretion of the department; background checks are performed in line with university policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of NAIA rules and intercollegiate athletics.
• Recruiting experience and knowledge.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer and social media skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support all phases of the softball program.
• Recruit prospective student‑athletes and evaluate candidates.
• Handle public relations and administrative tasks under the Head Coach.
• Ensure compliance with NAIA, conference and university rules.
