Job summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support all aspects of the program in line with NAIA and university guidelines. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, evaluating student-athletes and handling public relations and administrative tasks.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, collegiate coaching or playing background, and strong communication, organizational, computer, and social media skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education/experience providing required knowledge.
• Coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.
• Thorough knowledge of NAIA rules, higher education and intercollegiate athletics.
• Recruiting experience and knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer and social media skills.
• Must pass background check and departmental recruiting test.

• Assist with all phases of the baseball program in accordance with NAIA, conference and university rules.
• Coaching, recruiting, evaluating prospective student-athletes and public relations.
• Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Job description

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach. This position will be responsible for assisting with all phases of the program in accordance with NAIA, Conference and University rules, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coaching, recruiting, evaluating prospective student-athletes, performing public relations, administrative tasks and any other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Qualifications*

A bachelor's degree or a combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the requisite knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Previous coaching experience and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.

Thorough knowledge of NAIA rules, higher education and intercollegiate athletics.

Recruiting experience and knowledge.

Must possess excellent communication and organization skills.

Must possess excellent computer and social media skills.

Must be able to successfully complete a background check and departmental recruiting test.
