Job summary

Jobot is seeking a driven Retail Regional Sales Manager to own Southern California's retail protein market and lead a high-visibility growth agenda. You will expand regional grocery and independent retailer relationships, manage redistributors, and build a strong book of business in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Based in SoCal with a hybrid/remote schedule, you’ll drive new business, negotiate terms, and partner with cross-functional teams to execute programs.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Southern California and have 4+ years of food/protein sales experience.
• Strong relationships within SoCal grocery/independent retail markets.
• Experience selling protein products and working with redistribution/wholesale partners.
• Proven track record of growing retail accounts and developing new business.
• Solid understanding of retail pricing, merchandising, and commodity markets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales across regional grocery chains, independent retailers, and specialty accounts in Southern California.
• Develop new business while strengthening existing customer relationships.
• Manage and expand partnerships with redistributors and wholesale distribution partners.
• Increase distribution of protein products and lead item launches.
• Lead customer presentations, product reviews, category discussions, and business reviews.
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, programs, and margin expectations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, QA, R&D, Customer Service, and Pricing to ensure program execution.
• Monitor commodity trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities.
