Job summary

AML3D USA is seeking a hands-on Shop and Field Service Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of advanced metal 3D printing systems. The role combines in-shop work with travel to customer sites to install, set up, and test machinery.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, 3-5 years in shop or field service, and comfort with QA documentation. Welding skills and basic CAD/3D printing software knowledge are preferred. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technician or trade education preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on shop or field service experience.
• Proficient welding skills required.
• Experience with robotics, automation, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; CAD or 3D printing software preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with QA documentation and processes.
• Willingness to travel for field service assignments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with industrial metal 3D printing equipment.
• Assembly and build equipment based on company and customer needs.
• Install and set up machines at customer locations.
• Preform basic testing to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Provide support to customers both onsite and remotely.
• Help with general shop tasks and daily operations.
