Job summary

GoEngineer is seeking a Metal Field Services Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced metal additive manufacturing equipment at customer facilities. This role focuses on laser powder bed fusion technology and involves 50–70% travel across Utah, Texas, and California.

You will support installations, preventive maintenance, and service requests while coordinating with internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal additive manufacturing required.
• Experience with laser powder bed fusion technology strongly preferred.
• Field service, industrial equipment maintenance, or OEM experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial lasers, motion systems, and electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and engineering instructions.
• Experience with additive manufacturing workflows is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a travel‑intensive schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair metal additive manufacturing equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to support installations, preventative maintenance, and service requests.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and system‑related issues.
• Support large customer deployments and complex installation projects.
• Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams to resolve issues and ensure equipment performance.
• Complete service documentation, reporting, and inventory tracking.
• Manage company tools, spare parts, and assigned assets.
• Deliver a professional and positive customer experience.
