Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Consulting Group seeks a lead electrical engineer to manage power system studies for transmission interconnection projects and to guide junior engineers in modelling and analysis.

The role includes business development responsibilities such as proposing scope, approach, schedule, and budget, while staying current with industry technologies. Hybrid work requires in-office presence three days per week.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with substantial industry experience.
• A minimum of 15 years in engineering with at least 7 years leading a power systems team.
• Experience in load flow and contingency analysis to identify constraints and transfers.
• Experience using transmission planning software for load flow, contingency and stability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage consulting engagements related to power system studies for transmission interconnections.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers performing power system modelling and analysis.
• Participate in business development including proposal input on scope, approach, schedule and budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technology and applications of new technologies.
