Jacobs is seeking a P&C Engineer – Transmission to support regional and global transmission and studies teams, delivering protection and control studies from planning to detailed design.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years of experience in protection and control, and proficiency with ASPEN OneLiner and PSS CAPE. Travel within North America and a hybrid work arrangement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 7 years of direct experience with protection and control projects.
• Experience with protection studies software such as ASPEN OneLiner and PSS CAPE.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a results focus.
• Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel within North America.

Responsabilités

• Advanced protection relaying knowledge: line, transformer, breaker failure, cap bank, differential protection.
• Conduct protection and control studies from philosophy to detailed design.
• Perform P&C studies: protection coordination, PT/CT sizing, TCC curves, relay coordination.
• Adhere to IEEE and CIGRE standards and use P&C software tools.
• Collaborate with North America and global teams; engage with clients.
• Participate in IEEE or CIGRE committees.
