Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Protective & Control (P&C) Engineer – Transmission to support and lead projects for transmission and substations, with experience in ASPEN OneLiner and PSS CAPE. The role involves collaboration with North America and global teams, travel within North America, and delivering on time and to budget.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years in protection and control, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and solid knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards,
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience with protection and control.
- Experience with protection studies software such as ASPEN OneLiner and PSS CAPE.
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform protection and control studies from concept to detailed design.
- Lead protection coordination and fault studies.
- Analyze PT/CT sizing and TCC curves; relay coordination.
- Familiarity with IEEE/NERC standards.
- Engage with North America and global teams; support clients.
