Job summary
GFT is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Team. This role is available in multiple office locations and follows a hybrid work model with regular attendance in one office.
The candidate will lead complex traffic engineering and ITS projects, manage a distributed team, and collaborate with state DOTs and municipalities to deliver safe, sustainable transportation solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years' professional experience in traffic/hwy engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in KS or MO; ability to obtain licensure in other Midwest states (NE).
Responsibilities
- Lead complex traffic engineering and ITS projects and grow a distributed traffic group.
- Plan, design, and deliver traffic signal and ITS deployments across urban and freeway networks.
- Mentor engineers and designers across distributed teams and lead multi-disciplinary collaboration.
- Coordinate project scopes, schedules, and budgets; ensure quality control and assurance.
