Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract role to lead large-scale banking transformation programs. You will drive end-to-end merger, integration, and conversion initiatives, coordinating across business, technology, operations, risk, and executives.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of PM experience in banking/financial services, a Bachelor's degree, strong leadership and communication, and a proven track record delivering enterprise-wide programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of Project Management experience.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or related industries required.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide initiatives and complex transformation programs.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, system conversions, or large-scale change efforts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of merger, integration, conversion, and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate efforts across business, technology, operations, risk, and executive stakeholders.
• Drive governance processes including status reporting, steering committee updates, and executive communications.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Facilitate decision-making and escalation processes to ensure project success.
• Ensure project deliverables remain aligned to strategic business objectives.
• Support operational readiness, conversion planning, and implementation activities.
• Oversee vendor coordination and third-party relationships as needed.
• Drive adoption of PMO standards, tools, and best practices.
