Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in California seeks a Senior Planning Specialist to optimize inventory and demand planning across multiple sites, including Simi Valley and nearby locations.

You will maintain planning tools, run intercompany orders, and monitor Min/Max levels to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience, with Lean Six Sigma, APICS certification, or PMP preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years related experience.
• Lean Six Sigma, APICS Certification, or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain planning tools and place intercompany orders to keep inventory within Min/Max.
• Analyze Work in Process to identify fulfillment delays.
• Lead process-improvement projects: scope, plan, and execute (Order Replenishment, PO maintenance).
• Enhance processes for generating and managing forecast models, data and reports.
• Improve planning tools to boost inventory control and turns.
• Support day-to-day operations and tools for order replenishment and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with all Howmet Fastening System sites on planning and scheduling.
• Generate/analyze daily/weekly reports: Inventory, Demand/Consumption, Min/Max, backlog, lead-time.
• Generate/analyze KPIs, inventory, and shipping/financial data.
• Extract/prepare data from multiple databases for contracts and customer evaluations.
• Prepare/analyze data for monthly Operation Reviews.
