Job summary

Ecovyst is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee accurate and compliant payroll processing across the organization. The role emphasizes ADP Workforce Now expertise, data integrity, and strong customer service, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence in PA several days per week.

Responsibilities include processing cycles, changes, year-end activities, and reporting, while partnering with HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure timely, accurate payroll for multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of payroll administration/processing experience.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager; Canadian payroll experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and tax requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience supporting payroll audits and year-end processing.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information.
• Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, multi-location or multi-state environments.
• CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process recurring payroll cycles accurately and on schedule.
• Review payroll data for accuracy before processing.
• Process employee payroll changes including hires, terminations, deductions, and direct deposits.
• Review results for discrepancies and investigate as needed.
• Maintain payroll documentation and records; assist with year-end activities.
• Administer ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager; seek process improvements.
• Generate payroll reports to support audits and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
• Respond to employee pay questions and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance and managers on payroll changes.
