Placements24 is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a hybrid role combining remote work with essential in-office collaboration in Willows, CA. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable ML models powering core products, working with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field and 4+ years of ML experience, with Python, ML libraries, and cloud platform proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have graduate-level degree in a quantitative field and 4+ years of ML engineering or data science experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python with ML libraries and SQL.
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures.
• Experience deploying ML models in production and working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and collaborative skills in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ML systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement ML models for classification, regression, clustering, and deep learning.
• Collaborate with data scientists to prototype, test, and deploy models to production.
• Optimize model performance for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Develop data pipelines and ensure data quality for training and inference.
• Work on feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning.
• Contribute to MLOps practices including monitoring, versioning, and retraining.
• Stay updated with latest ML/AI advancements.
