Job summary

First Bank in the St. Louis area is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist II to manage the boarding of Commercial, Consumer, and Business Banking loans with precision.

You will oversee setup, documentation validation, and ensure accurate data in servicing systems, including complex items like participation loans and SOFR-based products. The role requires attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with lenders and internal teams to keep loan onboarding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3+ years banking experience and/or training in loan service or equivalent.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency; 10-key calculator and touch keyboard required.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Board Commercial, Consumer, and Business Banking loans with accurate terms, structures, collateral, and data.
• Validate loan documentation for completeness and consistency before boarding.
• Resolve discrepancies before loans are activated in servicing systems.
• Coordinate with lenders, loan assistants, and other partners to obtain missing information.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Process SOFR-based loan accounts, rate changes, and servicing activities.
• Administer loan participations, including setup, funding, and servicing.
