Job summary

AAA Mountain West Group is seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer to lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of world-class learning programs for the Learning and Development team.

You will continuously improve programs using creative approaches to drive productivity and innovation, consult on cross‑department projects, mentor peers, and ensure solutions align with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum Development, Education, Organizational Development or business required.
• 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer or Learning & Development Program manager with demonstrated proficiency in designing, building and deploying instructor and e-learning modules.
• 5+ years facilitating different corporate groups in workshop and/or training experiences.
• Experience with multimedia and web design technologies including video conferencing/webinar technologies.
• Advanced to intermediate experience with online, eLearning, and Rapid Development Software such as Articulate, Captivate, or Camtasia.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative, scalable learning programs for all levels using adult learning theories.
• Develop course materials using diverse media to promote self-study and practice.
• Evaluate solutions for quality, business impact, and scalability; leverage technology to extend access and provide just in time learning.
• Produce training material(s) using rapid development tools and process.
• Develop assessment instruments to measure learner acceptance, comprehension, and application of processes and systems knowledge.
• Develop effective learning experiences leveraging a variety of media, such as video and audio clips, online interactivity, simulations, and illustrations and diagrams.
• Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices
• Establish project plans and leads teams in the development of new learning content by managing completion of milestones and deliverables
• Leads others and participates in the design of curriculum, instruction, and assessment materials using knowledge of current trends and best practices in learning and development
• Lead and manage learning solution design, measurement strategy, and project management
• Conduct needs analysis with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define instructional objectives, business outcomes, and overall requirements of learning solutions
• Facilitate engaging instructor-led experiences effectively across a range of learners and content
• Evaluate impact and efficiency of training-- through formal and informal metrics— and identification of opportunities to inform work, refinements and strategy
