WEB-TPA, Inc. seeks an experienced Underwriting Specialist II to support middle-market groups (up to 299 contracts) with new business and renewal underwriting.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, pricing adjustments, and exceptions to field rating, with emphasis on IRS form 5500 and annual accountings. The position entails training, collaboration with Sales Representatives, and preparation of detailed reports.

Formación

• 2+ years related work experience in group health insurance processes.
• Experience with pricing, financing, underwriting and marketing strategies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal statutes and regulations.
• Strong contracts understanding and ability to modify procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Assess 51-299 exception requests for new business.
• Perform risk assessment and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines.
• Renewal underwriting including updated renewal calculations for unassigned business.
• Prepare Proshare settlements and annual accountings.
• Collaborate with Sales Reps to explain rates and respond to rating issues.
• Generate weekly and monthly underwriter reports with analyses.
• Mentor junior underwriters and participate in projects.
