Elevance Health is seeking a Group Underwriter II to determine acceptability of insurance risks and set premium rates for renewal and prospect groups in accordance with underwriting guidelines. This hybrid role supports collaboration in-office 1-2 days per week with flexibility for remote work where appropriate.

The successful candidate will calculate renewal rates, prepare ERISA reports and rate projections, and contribute to post-sale reviews as part of a collaborative underwriting team.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum 3 years of underwriting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA or other insurance-related courses are preferred.
• Intermediate Excel experience including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs and macros is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with rating tools and reporting tools (e.g. BusinessObjects or similar) preferred.
• Large group underwriting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Calculates renewal rates for group cases based on analysis of group experience, industry and demographics.
• Prepares annual settlements, ERISA reports, rate projections and post-sale review.
