Job summary

Church Pension Group is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant to provide advanced administrative and technical support to Commercial Lines Underwriters. The role focuses on ensuring efficient underwriting workflows, high-quality service to agents and insureds, and continuous process improvements.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-person collaboration at the VT office part of the week, with strong emphasis on training, mentoring, and leveraging technology to enhance accuracy

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in insurance property & casualty industry or related experience.
• Associates degree and/or combination of education & equivalent experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Request, gather, evaluate and document underwriting information from agency on insured or prospective insureds as needed.
• Perform prep work on new and renewal business including evaluation of loss experience and coverage/pricing details.
• Order and analyze underwriting reports for review by underwriters.
• Independently review and assess loss control/risk management reports.
• Leverage technology tools and automation solutions to streamline work and improve productivity.
