Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced electrical engineer for its Government Services Division in Albuquerque. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, challenging opportunities in electrical design, and a clear path for career advancement within a defense-related environment.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited degrees, 7+ years of experience, and familiarity with NEC/UL508, load flow, and lighting analysis tools. Strong collaboration and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain US government security clearance.
• ABET-accredited BSEE or MSEE degree.
• 7+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, preferably nuclear.
• Experience with low to medium voltage distribution and instrumentation wiring.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design engineering on multi-discipline project teams.
• Produce engineering calculations, analyses, and reports.
• Prepare design inputs for drawings: site plans, one-lines, wiring diagrams, schedules.
• Apply engineering expertise to design and qualification of structures, systems, components.
• Produce procurement and construction specifications.
• Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
