Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency in the United States is seeking a Senior Claims Advocate to guide clients through the claims process and coordinate with insurers. The role emphasizes timely communication, accurate documentation, and responsive support for complex commercial claims.

You will lead intake, confirm coverage, gather required forms, and collaborate with Carriers and Service Teams to drive efficient resolutions while maintaining detailed records and proactive updates for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial claims.
• Property/Casualty Agent’s/Broker’s license preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Experience in calendaring, spreadsheets and data management, organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Ability to present complicated information both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted contact for clients during claims and provide guidance.
• Lead intake and review of reported claims, confirm coverage, gather required documents, complete Acord forms, and coordinate reporting to insurers.
• Partner with clients, carriers, Claims, and Service Teams to manage first-party claims through resolution.
• Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed of claim developments, including coverage decisions and requests for information.
• Coordinate and maintain comprehensive claim information with documented decisions and discussions.
• Collaborate with Service Teams to assess coverage and policy provisions during loss events.
• Monitor claim activity and emerging trends, communicating potential coverage concerns to internal teams.
• Provide timely updates on claim status to designated Claim and Service Teams.
• Develop tailored claim-handling strategies for complex or unique situations.
• Prepare Loss Stratification Reports and Trending Analyses to support decision-making.
• Contribute to special assignments and projects to enhance client service and outcomes.
