Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary project team in Richland. The role focuses on PLC/HMI design, SIS, and automation within industrial facilities, with hybrid work options.

You will develop project specifications, diagrams, and documentation, mentor peers, and travel to client sites as needed. A BS in engineering and 12+ years of experience, plus the ability to obtain US government clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• 12+ years of instrumentation and controls or automation experience.
• Experience designing, programming, documenting, and testing automated machinery.

Responsibilities

• Work on PLC-based control systems and SIS projects for industrial facilities.
• Prepare specifications and design media for software, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Mentor peers and participate in Automation Lab training sessions.
• Travel to client offices and project sites as required.
