Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor for AML/Fraud and Ethics, with hybrid work in McLean, VA. You will participate in BSA/AML audits, assess risks, test controls, and communicate findings to management, collaborating with partners across the Audit function.

A background in auditing, AML/fraud controls, and relevant certifications is preferred. The role emphasizes quality, collaboration, and impactful insights within our hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, compliance, AML, Fraud or Sanctions, or a combination.
• Preferred: professional certifications (CFE, CAMS, CIA, CPA) or relevant certification.
• 2+ years of banking/financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit major components of BSA/AML, Sanctions, and Fraud Compliance.
• Perform risk assessments and testing based on risks and processes.
• Communicate issues, risks and recommendations to management.
• Operate independently and meet schedules.
• Develop working relationships with business partners and the Audit group.
• Leverage data analytics during planning and fieldwork phases.
• Proactively follow up on audit actions to ensure timely completion.
