Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor for the AML/Fraud and Ethics Audit team. The role emphasizes independence, data-driven assurance, and strong collaboration with business partners to strengthen governance and controls.

You will participate in major AML, Sanctions, and Fraud audits, perform risk assessments, and communicate findings to management while adhering to hybrid work requirements and Capital One's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of auditing experience.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of financial analysis experience.
• At least 2 years of compliance experience.
• At least 2 years of Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud or Sanctions experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in major components of BSA / AML, Sanctions, and Fraud Compliance audits.
• Assist in risk assessments of business activities and testing based on risks.
• Communicate issues, risks and recommendations to management.
• Operate independently to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Develop strong working relationships with business partners and Audit group.
• Leverage data analytics during planning and fieldwork phases.
• Follow up on audit actions to ensure timely resolution.
