Invenergy, LLC in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Accountant II, Technical Accounting, to support research, application, and implementation of technical accounting matters across the accounting organization. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and focuses on complex accounting topics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting or technical accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Review contracts, agreements, and transactions to identify accounting implications and disclosure requirements.
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memoranda supporting conclusions under U.S. GAAP.
• Own lease accounting under ASC 842, maintain the lease accounting system, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounting for derivative instruments, including hedge designations and related controls.
• Support implementation of new accounting standards, policies, and methodologies; collaborate with stakeholders to drive timely resolutions; assist with external audits.
