Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to lead a team of accounting professionals responsible for technical accounting research, application, and implementation. You will report to the Senior Director, Financial Reporting and ensure high-quality outcomes across complex contracts and disclosures.

The role is based on-site at Invenergy's downtown Chicago office, requiring leadership in a fast-paced environment with strong emphasis on accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with upward growth; likely 2+ years at Manager level.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and accounting position papers.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical accounting professionals; set goals and provide feedback.
• Oversee analysis of complex contracts for accounting implications and disclosures.
• Draft accounting position papers and engage with external auditors.
• Lead research on current and emerging accounting standards and advise leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to advance work and ensure timely delivery.
