Invenergy, LLC—headquartered in Chicago—seeks a Senior Accountant II, Technical Accounting. You will research and apply US GAAP to complex transactions, own lease portfolio accounting, and manage derivative instrument accounting while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a solid technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to drive accounting analyses to timely completion in a hybrid in-office and remote environment.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or financial reporting)
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Experience researching accounting guidance and preparing analyses or position papers
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including communicating technical concepts to non-accounting audiences
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability with ability to drive analyses to completion
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
• CPA license preferred (not mandatory)

Aufgaben

• Review contracts and transactions to identify accounting implications and disclosures
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare memoranda
• Own lease portfolio accounting under ASC 842 and maintain related systems and controls
• Manage derivative instruments accounting, hedge designations, and related journal entries
• Support implementation of new accounting standards and policies
• Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, Finance, Legal, and Operations for timely issue resolution
• Support external audits with analyses and documentation
• Contribute to policy development and internal controls and participate in special projects
