Job summary

Invenergy, LLC is hiring an Operations Accountant in Chicago to manage day-to-day accounting for 4-6 plants and related entities. You will close books, review statements, and support project accounting and cash flow analysis in a hybrid work environment with in-office Mondays through Thursdays and remote Fridays when feasible.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 2+ years of accounting experience, GAAP familiarity, and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline is required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience or more.
• Existing understanding and knowledge of GAAP is required.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and journal entries.
• Support project reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger for projects.
• Assist with annual audit work papers and audit reporting.
