Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Senior SDET for embedded software/firmware verification and validation. You will develop automated test software, reusable libraries, and CI/CD integrations, executing risk-based testing across firmware and device interfaces while ensuring patient safety.

Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, quality and regulatory teams to build high-confidence evidence that requirements are met. Lead test automation efforts in a safety-critical medical-device program.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience testing safety-critical embedded products, especially medical devices.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for embedded test automation.
• Experience designing/extending HIL/SIL environments and device simulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and libraries for embedded firmware.
• Execute verification and validation across firmware, interfaces, and HW/SW integration.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, quality, and regulatory teams to build V&V evidence.
• Support CI/CD integration, test reporting, and failure diagnostics.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on automation practices.
