Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) seeks a Sales Engineer-Chillers to join our Centrifugal Chiller Business Team in a hybrid role based out of Plano, Texas. You will provide technical expertise during customer engagements, support proposals, and collaborate with engineering teams in Japan and the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in technical sales or engineering within HVAC, refrigeration, or related sectors.
• Proven experience delivering cooling solutions using centrifugal chillers in the North American market.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal chillers, HVAC products and cooling systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and cross‑cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic sales activities by providing technical expertise during customer engagements, including specification review, feasibility assessments, and solution optimization.
• Collaborate with Senior Sales Executives to develop proposals that meet customer requirements and project objectives.
• Conduct technical evaluations and performance analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. standards and customer expectations.
• Act as a liaison between customers and engineering/manufacturing teams in Japan, facilitating clear communication and timely execution.
• Gather and analyze customer requirements and competitive intelligence to inform product customization and new product development.
• Assist in technical presentations and represent the company at industry events when required.
• Promote sustainability and contribute to knowledge sharing by mentoring junior team members and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.
