Job summary

Altria Group, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Governance Associate Manager in Richmond, VA on a hybrid schedule.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize Source-to-Pay processes, implement automation and AI enablement, and establish governance frameworks that support scalable, measurable business outcomes. The role requires 5+ years in continuous improvement, governance, or related fields, with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and strong data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in continuous improvement, business process management, project management, governance, operational excellence, procurement, finance operations, shared services, or business transformation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and processes.
• Knowledge of S2P processes and standard methodologies.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Influence without direct authority to move initiatives forward.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities to improve S2P processes.
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Apply process improvement methodologies to eliminate redundancies, improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance user experience.
• Support automation, AI, and technology enablement initiatives that increase organizational effectiveness.
• Help ensure pivotal initiatives are managed effectively.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to gather business requirements and align business partners for continuous improvement efforts supported by data and measurable outcomes.
• Develop reporting structures that provide leadership with insight into organizational priorities, project progress/status, risks, dependencies, benefits realization, and resource alignment.
• Maintaining governance processes for the S2P continuous improvement portfolio.
• Collaborating with the Senior Manager and Managed Service Provider (MSP) to align process improvement initiatives with the overall procurement strategy and company goals
