Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a transplant nurse for the Kidney Adult unit. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days on-site and remote privileges, and a pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour.

You will bring a BSN, an RN license, and at least 3 years of nursing experience, providing education to recipients and donors before and after transplant, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring evidence-based, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in eligible state.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assures that required tests are completed per transplant protocols.
• Analyzes test results and develops care plans to obtain outcomes.
• Interprets eligibility criteria to identify high-risk recipients and donors; schedules consultations.
• Identifies health problems that may increase transplant morbidity and mortality.
• Coordinates donor cell/organ procurement per HIPAA standards.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings to plan care.
• Promotes education pre- and post-transplant to recipients, donors, and caregivers.
• Seeks knowledge reflecting current nursing practice and future thinking.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures aligned with standards.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
