Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Full-Time Transplant Nursing Coordinator to oversee solid organ and bone marrow transplantation for pediatric and adult recipients. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in clinical settings.
• Solid organ transplant and/or bone marrow transplant experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating pre- and post-transplant care.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• CCTC, OCN, or TCTCN certifications encouraged within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care plans for pre- and post-transplant patients with interdisciplinary teams.
• Oversee clinical, psychological, and financial needs of patients.
• Coordinate pre-procedure tests and transplant candidacy assessments.
• Manage transplant waiting lists and organ offers coordination.
• Facilitate transplant process and coordinate inpatient/outpatient care.
• Monitor status, discharge needs, and post-transplant follow-up.
• Educate patients and families about transplant processes.
• Support regulatory compliance and quality improvement efforts.
