Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Full Time Transplant Nursing Coordinator to oversee pediatric and adult transplant care across the continuum—from pre-transplant to post-transplant phases. You will liaise with patients, medical teams, and procurement networks to ensure smooth coordination and communication.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, education, and QA/QI involvement, with a 40-hour work week and weekend rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN and NC RN license.
• CCCTC encouraged within three years of hire.
• OCN or TCTCN certification encouraged within two years.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for pre- and post-transplant patients across settings.
• Educate patients and families about transplant processes and care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CMS/OPTN/FACT/CIBMTR guidelines.
• Participate in QA/QI activities and improvement of clinical workflows.
• Manage waiting lists and organ offers for solid organ transplants.
