Job summary

Forthright Case Management is seeking a dynamic RN Case Manager to serve the Billings, MT area in a hybrid role balancing clinical case management with operational and business development duties.

The candidate will manage workers’ compensation caseloads, coordinate with physicians, employers, and insurers, and contribute to client relations and reporting while providing field support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Montana or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of Nurse Case Management experience preferred.
• Certified Case Manager (CCM) or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel locally for field case management and client meetings as needed. Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nurse Case Management: maintain a workers’ compensation patient panel.
• Coordinate treatment plans with injured workers, physicians, employers, adjusters, attorneys, and rehabilitation professionals.
• Attend physician appointments when appropriate.
• Evaluate and adjust treatment plans to remove barriers to recovery.
• Facilitate timely return-to-work planning.
• Prepare comprehensive case management reports meeting client expectations.
• Maintain documentation per state regulations and HIPAA.
• Provide telephonic and field case management as needed.
• Serve as clinical backup for other Nurse Case Managers during peak periods.
