World Market, LLC in Alameda, CA is seeking a Risk & Safety Specialist to support Workers' Compensation, safety programs, and OSHA compliance across all stores. The role emphasizes data-driven risk management, incident investigations, and liaison with TPAs and legal partners.

You will prepare OSHA 300/300A reports, deliver executive dashboards, and drive training programs for managers and associates to improve safety culture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or comparable work experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate insurance, workers’ comp, safety, or administrative roles.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance and safety programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong analytical skills to gather data, analyze and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Administer Workers' Compensation, Risk Insurance and Safety programs.
• Perform data analysis and daily claim intakes.
• Assess situations and make proactive safety decisions for all associates across all World Market locations.
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts related to OSHA, including direct engagement with OSHA representatives to resolve citations, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely reporting across all store locations.
• Manage and assist with the end-to-end General Liability & Workers' Compensation claims process, including oversight of incident investigations, customer communications, and coordination with TPAs.
• Prepare OSHA 300 and 300A reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all sites.
• Develop and deliver monthly executive-level reports and dashboards analyzing safety, claims, and risk metrics.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners on risk management strategies and claims handling.
• Design and implement organization-wide safety audit protocols and coaching.
• Develop and facilitate training programs on accident prevention and safety best practices.
