Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support RFQ execution and partner selection, analyzing customer drawings and CNC/sheet metal processes to identify best-fit partners and negotiate pricing. You will drive cost reductions and margin improvement while coordinating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or procurement roles.
• Strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes, specifically CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and step files; understanding of GD&T required.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) or CAM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute the operational end-to-end Partner RFQ process, from opportunity identification through bid collection, award decision, and relay of feedback to partners.
• Analyze customer engineering drawings, CAD files, and step files to assess manufacturability and identify technical requirements.
• Evaluate partner capabilities against job requirements and determine best-fit pre-vetted partners.
• Distribute RFQs to identified partners with clear specifications, technical drawings, and quote requirements.
• Track bid submissions and manage communication with partners to ensure timely response and clarification of technical or commercial questions.
• Leverage manufacturing expertise to evaluate design feasibility and assess manufacturability of customer parts.
• Apply knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes to identify cost-reduction strategies and options.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to explore process options, material substitutions, or approaches to lower total cost while meeting specs.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to partners to ensure accurate quoting and reduce iterations.
• Review partner proposals to validate capability and identify manufacturability risks.
• Evaluate and compare bids on cost, capability, capacity, lead time, quality, and strategic fit.
• Analyze bids to identify pricing outliers and challenge quotes with alternatives.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to optimize margins while keeping pricing competitive.
• Award bids based on total value and strategic benefit for Xometry.
• Build and maintain strong partner relationships as a trusted technical resource.
