Job summary

Strive Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical strategy and architecture of its platform. You will lead critical initiatives, stay hands-on, and mentor engineers while balancing reliability, security, and scalability.

You will collaborate with Product, Clinical, Data, Security, and Operations to deliver impactful healthcare software solutions in a hybrid work environment. Strong system design and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, including production systems.
• Experience as a senior IC leading design and delivery of complex initiatives.
• Strong foundation in system design, API design, data modeling, testing, and production ops.
• Experience with cloud-based applications, services, and integrations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/privacy/security requirements and healthcare data handling.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical strategy and architecture for Strive's platform.
• Lead end-to-end solutions for cross-team initiatives from design to production.
• Write high-quality, observable software and mentor engineers across teams.
• Drive platform-wide improvements in reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Clinical, Data, Security, and Operations leaders to align solutions with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and hands-on assistance.
• Participate in production support and incident response to address root causes.
