Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Monterey Park, CA. You will design, build, test, and maintain software used by physicians and patients to improve outcomes.

You will work with Product, UX/Design, and QA in an agile environment, implement APIs, data pipelines, and modern backend/frontend stacks, and mentor junior engineers while shaping the engineering roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years software development experience.
• Experience building APIs and automation at scale.
• Full-stack web development, large system design, data pipelines, ML related skills.
• Architecting, developing, supporting apps and services.
• Ability to create template projects for others to use.
• Leading a team in technical aspects and vision.
• Strong front-end knowledge (React.js/Redux) and SQL proficiency.
• Advanced Python OOP skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, deploy, and maintain software used internally and by physicians and patients.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/Design, Engineers, and QA in an agile team.
• Suggest improvements across stack and development processes.
• Manage requirements, priorities, and timelines effectively.
• Mentor and develop junior developers.
• Keep up with technology stack: Python, React, Javascript, SQL.
