Cotality is hiring a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of scalable AI-driven software systems. You will guide Knowledge Representation, Semantic Search, and enterprise data integration while mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience in designing, scaling, and maintaining production web services.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the Semantic Layer Web Service for high-availability enterprise intelligence.
• Serve as primary tech lead for Knowledge Representation and Semantic Search.
• Design and deploy Hybrid Graph/Vector search architectures (GraphRAG).
• Build and enhance robust backend services using Python, FastAPI, and AI tooling.
• Collaborate with Data Science to leverage LLMs and SLMs for classification and synthesis.
• Automate Ontology Management and Entity Linking workflows.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD to ensure quality at scale.
• Mentor engineers and guide best practices across the stack.
