Job summary

Cotality seeks a Principal Software Development Engineer in the US to lead design, development, and testing of complex software systems. You will architect scalable Semantic Layer services, guide Knowledge Representation and Semantic Search, and mentor engineering teams to deliver fiduciary-grade performance.

The role requires deep Python/FastAPI expertise, Graph/Vector reasoning, and cloud deployment across GCP/AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/AI or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven Python/FastAPI production web services experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the Semantic Layer for scalability and availability.
• Lead the engineering team as technical lead for Knowledge Representation and Semantic Search.
• Design and deploy Hybrid Graph/Vector search architectures (GraphRAG).
• Build high-performance AI services bridging enterprise data with Agentic AI.
• Mentor engineers and enforce AI engineering standards.
