Job summary

BKF seeks a Project Accountant in Oakland to join our accounting team. You’ll support month-end close, client invoicing, and project cost reviews, and you’ll help maintain project records in Deltek Vantagepoint. The role is hourly with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Architecture/Engineering industry experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Solid knowledge of Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interface with project managers, clients, and architects.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end closing process and reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices for clients and review draft invoices for accuracy and labor/expense charges.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual).
• Research client invoicing questions and provide invoice support documentation.
• Prepare project financial reports (WIP aging, AR aging, budget vs actual).
• Support project managers in project setup/maintenance in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Troubleshoot and resolve project billing issues.
• This position reports to the Oakland office one day per week with hybrid-remote opportunity.
