Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our growing team in either Duluth or Minneapolis, MN. The role offers hybrid and remote work options and involves managing invoicing in the Unanet system for multiple clients.

You will prepare invoices, monitor collections, and provide project financial analytics to support revenue recognition and project performance across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and PowerBI.
• Ability to work independently and with other departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices for customers based on pricing and terms with all supporting docs.
• Identify improvements for collections efficiency by building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with project coordination from JNR and WO processing through closeout.
• Perform unbilled revenue analysis in support of revenue recognition.
• Forecast activities with Billing Specialist II and Project Managers, including ETC/FTC and backlog data.
