Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to support technical data delivery and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and marts. You will identify simple to moderate business requirements and assist in preparing trend and financial data analyses for Plan divisions.

You’ll develop data sets, perform data quality checks, and support data extracts, reports, and analyses to enable financial decision making within a Hybrid Flex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred where required.
• 3+ years of related experience; in lieu of degree, 5+ years experience accepted.
• Experience with actuarial financial data systems and marts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, design and testing of data sets for actuarial data marts.
• Support monthly data refreshes, validations and QA for financial reporting.
• Develop decision support solutions including claim financial data builds, extracts, reports and views.
• Provide data definitions, file structures and business rules guidance for data systems.
• Document system/technical specifications to support solutions.
• Perform unit testing and create sample data to validate SQL logic.
