Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks an Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and Marts. You will identify simple to moderate business requirements and prepare trend and financial data analyses to support Plan divisions.

You will assist in developing data sets, perform monthly data refreshes, validate data, and support in creating medical and pharmacy claim data builds, reports, and data mart

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in actuarial data systems or related fields.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design and test data sets for Actuarial data marts.
• Conduct monthly data refreshes, validations and QA for financial reporting.
• Create medical and pharmacy claim data builds, reports, and data mart tables and views.
• Provide data system support, including definitions, usage, and file structures.
• Perform unit testing with sample data to validate SQL logic.
• Document system and technical specifications.
