Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to provide technical data support and develop solutions for actuarial financial data systems. You will identify business requirements, analyze needs, and implement data solutions ensuring accuracy and auditability.

In this role, you will lead actuarial data initiatives, maintain data marts, perform validations, and collaborate with vendors and departments to ensure data integrity and timely reporting across quarterly and year-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Manages the maintenance and optimization of the Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
• Performs monthly data refreshes, financial validations and QA checks.
• Independently analyze business problems; develop recommendations and implement solutions.
• Develop decision support solutions including medical and pharmacy claim data builds, data extracts, reports, data mart tables, views and analysis.
• Ensures financial granular detail data is auditable, snapshotted and stored for audits.
• Establishes vendor and inter-departmental relationships to ensure data accuracy.
• Leads multiple application areas for data definitions, usage and code structure.
• Provides technical leadership and application expertise to business teams.
• Plans liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
• Provides detailed configuration expertise to customers and partners.
