Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to provide technical data support and develop innovative solutions for actuarial financial data systems. You will identify requirements, analyze needs, and implement solutions that ensure data quality and accuracy.
The role includes data mart maintenance, monthly data refreshes, financial validations, vendor liaison, and leading key data initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a related field; 7+ years if no degree.
- Experience with healthcare data analytics and SQL development is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Manages maintenance and optimization of Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
- Performs monthly data refreshes and financial validations for actuarial reporting.
- Analyze business problems, develop recommendations, implement solutions and communicate results.
- Develop decision support data builds, reports, data mart tables and views.
- Ensure auditable, snapshot-ready financial data for audits.
- Establish vendor/inter-department relationships for data accuracy.
- Lead for multiple application areas: data definitions, file structures, and business rules.
- Provide technical leadership and application expertise to project teams.
- Serve as liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
- Provide detailed configuration expertise and clear communication to customers.
