Qcells USA Corp in Houston, TX, seeks a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead technical development and execution for PV and BESS EPC projects. The role combines management of a skilled electrical engineering team with hands-on design oversight, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.

The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across EPC, procurement, and legal teams, with a hybrid work model and up to 25% travel. Applicants must be US-authorized to work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• 10+ years in electrical engineering in Solar/BESS.
• 3+ years in management leading a team.
• Extensive PV and energy storage project experience.
• Knowledge of PV/BESS plant design, value engineering & optimization.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE and industry codes.
• Willingness to travel at least 25%.
• Ability to motivate and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications: PE License (Preferred); IEEE/NETA/NABCEP PV (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical teams through design and engineering stages for PV/BESS projects.
• Collaborate to deliver PV, BESS, and other renewable projects.
• Report workforce planning, project status, and design challenges to VP of Engineering.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; promote best practices.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams; ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and interconnection requirements.
