Job summary

Signal Energy is seeking a Principal Engineer, Electrical to lead electrical design for PV and BESS projects and act as the Engineer of Record. You will develop design standards, mentor a growing electrical team, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure constructible designs that meet client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical power engineering.
• 10+ years in power system design and engineering, with 5+ years in PV or BESS.
• Professional Engineer license in one or more US states.
• Experience leading a team of engineers and designers.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE codes and standards.
• Proficiency with electrical design software including AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst/SAM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical engineering efforts to ensure on-time, compliant deliverables.
• Act as Engineer of Record for multiple projects and perform design reviews.
• Lead, mentor and grow the electrical design team for PV and BESS projects.
• Develop and improve design standards, templates, and best practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure constructable designs.
